01

The useful difference

A static QR code contains the final destination itself. A dynamic QR code usually contains a short redirect controlled by a service. That redirect makes the destination editable later, but it also adds a service between the printed code and the destination.

02

Choose static when

Use a static code when the destination is already final, you want no ongoing QR-service dependency, and you do not need scan analytics. The printed code cannot be deactivated by Qwero because Qwero is not in the path. The destination website can still move, change, or disappear.

03

Choose dynamic when

A managed redirect can be useful when the destination is expected to change or when campaign analytics are essential. Check the provider’s fees, retention policy, redirect reliability, privacy terms, and what happens if billing stops.

04

Before you print

Open the exact destination, generate the code, scan-test the finished proof on more than one phone, and print one physical sample before ordering in quantity.
